01Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use Let Rides. We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we design our apps with the same goal.
02What we’ve done on this website
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Menus close with the Escape key; the trip steps scroll with the arrow keys.
- Buttons and controls are labelled for screen readers, and toggles announce whether they’re selected.
- Figures that change, like the fare meter and earnings calculator, are announced to screen readers.
- Body text meets AA colour contrast against the dark background.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are switched off and final figures shown straight away.
- Pages work at 360 pixels wide and when zoomed to 200%.
03Known issues
- Some small uppercase labels use a low-contrast colour where they are decorative.
- The fare meter on the home page is a simulation. Screen readers hear the final result, not each change.
- Payment pages run by Stripe and GoCardless are outside our control, although both work to accessibility standards.
This statement was prepared on 14 September 2026 based on our own testing. [Arrange an independent accessibility audit before launch]
04Our apps
The rider and driver apps support your phone’s text size settings and screen readers (VoiceOver and TalkBack). [Confirm app accessibility testing and any known issues]
05Accessible rides
- Drivers must carry assistance dogs at no extra charge, unless they hold a medical exemption certificate.
- You can message your driver through the app if you need help finding the vehicle.
- [Confirm availability of wheelchair-accessible vehicles in Glasgow and how to request one]
